We needed a picture with “green” in it over our fireplace. I looked though our photos from Italy because I thought I could have one enlarged and problem solved. Then, I got to thinking, instead of a photo, it would be really nice to having a painting…
So, I got to work. I found a picture I loved of a row of Tuscan Cypress, so simple and elegant…perfect! Which reminded me of the Leonardo da Vinci quote, “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” but I digress.
I started working at it layer by layer (I used my iPad, so I would have a very clean digital file) until I was happy with the finished product. Sent it to be printed and framed.
And, this came in less than a week…
I was so thrilled with then end result!
The finished size is 24″x36″, and it fits the space very well. See…
So, this got me thinking about converting all our wall photos to paintings.
And, I also started to think that this would make a great print on a scarf. Tuscan cypress wall art becomes wearable scarf art! The ideas started whirling in my head.
Tuscan Cypress Wall Art Becomes Wearable Scarf Art
I took the painting and created a scarf design.
This is how the Tuscan Cypress wall art painting looks as a scarf…
The material is a luxurious silk satin, I just love it!
Since this painting, I’ve converted three photos, of our trips to Italy, into paintings and I’m working on the fourth.
