In Italy you can’t go long without spotting one of it’s bold buildings towering over the beautiful landscape. In Venice, you can’t miss St Mark’s Campanile, Bell Tower.
It towers over everything around it…for miles.
St Mark’s Campanile, Bell Tower
It’s amazing to see these building in person. You almost strain your neck looking up at it.
I’ve been working on another project and have been looking at a lot of our pictures from our trips to Italy and these tall buildings with their clean lines has inspired me to experiment with a few jewelry designs.
My thoughts so far are bold jewelry pieces that you don’t see too frequently. And, I’m thinking dark, oxidized silver to reflect the black patina you frequently see on the centuries old buildings. You can see what I mean if you look above the awning in the picture below.
FYI, the Caffè Florian (below) is a fun place to sit and grab an afternoon drink or listen to the musicians after dinner.
I love this picture below, probably because it’s as close to a black and white picture that a color picture can get.
I’m excited about the jewelry designs that I’m playing around with and testing their functionality. To know when the collection will officially launch, be sure to get on my list!
