I’m a creature of habit, I find it makes life a lot easier. I keep the same routine (for the most part), I have my collection of favorite recipes, and I have my effortless summer outfit…makes getting ready a snap!
I’m trying to remember to snap a shot of how I wear scarves, so I can show you how you can easily take a couple of basics and instantly elevate them with one accessory…a scarf.
Right before we stepped out last Saturday evening, I remembered. Yay.
This was my outfit:
- White tank – Lands End
- Black cropped pants – Banana Republic
- Sandals – Donald Pliner
- Scarf – yours truly, The Pier No. 1 Scarf
The scarf is made from Silk Georgette. It’s very light material, and it’s a perfect Summer scarf for the times you go indoors and the AC is blasting and you need a light cover.
Here I just folded it on the diagonal, laid it over my shoulders, and knotted it in front. I was comfortable all evening.
Here’s a different style (below) that would work in hot weather too.
Instead of putting it over my shoulders after folding it, I simply knotted it behind my neck.
Now, just in case you like to wear other colors besides black and white, this scarf also looks great with lighter blue hues. And for that matter, pinks.
If you’re in need of a go-to, effortless summer outfit, use this one. Two basics plus a scarf and you’ll have an instantly elevated look.
The Pier No. 1 Scarf is now available in my online boutique.
