For my third scarf in the Bella Italia Scarf Collection I have created a Brunelleschi’s Dome inspired scarf. Florence, Italy is a great city. What I love most is it’s ability to feel like a small town. Our visits there have been special because of the wonderful hospitality of the people.
When we go to Italy we make it a point to get out early (the shot above was taken about 7:30am, not too many people around). Not only are you the first in line to see the sites, you also get to see the city wake up. It’ll go from quiet and peaceful to lively and energetic within an hour. And, we feel more a part of the city when we get to participate in this transformation.
In Florence one of the best places to see this transformation is the piazza of the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, the formal for the Florence Cathedral, the more familiar, Piazza del Duomo. Which also happens to be the inspiration for my next scarf.
My Brunelleschi’s Dome inspired scarf is just about ready. It’s the third in my newest collection of scarves that are inspired by the wonderful towns and cities in Italy.
They are truly unique and they are art you can wear. Make sure you’re on my mailing list, so you can be the first to know when I have each available!
