The sales funnel is a delicate balance.
Businesses are cyclical and like many, you have probably experienced moments of feast or famine, right?
Job and financial peace-of-mind come from having a steady stream of business.
Whether you’re company-employed or self-employed you need to keep the sales funnel filled.
So, let’s talk about getting rid of the “famine” and creating a steady “feast”.
Here’s how you can keep feeding your sales funnel.
Keep Expanding Your Network
You probably meet people all the time, right? Casual and social situations are a perfect opportunity to expand your network.
Why? You never know who will be a great “connector” for you. Someone who brings you clients.
How? Get the individual’s business card and make a couple of notes about them. Something like a topic you have in common; how you met; a mutual contact, etc.
Periodically drop them an email or a phone call.
Tweak Your Product Line
Instead of only offering a complete A to Z package, consider offering some products or services “a la carte”.
Why? Prospects might not need or be able to afford an “A to Z” package. This way you’re building rapport and providing a sample of your work.
How? What part of your product line do customers really like? Start there.
Periodically Touch Base with Your Clients
Make it a point to call or email your previous clients.
Why? This builds rapport and keeps you top of mind. Remember…out of sight, out of mind.
How? A quick “Hi, how are you?” is perfect. Don’t ask for any business just be cordial and casual.
How does your sales funnel look?
Do you regularly have prospects turning into customers?
Do you have months where your numbers are low?
Put one of the strategies into action, actually you might want to try all three and keep going every month.
